MEDITERRA GOLF

MEDITERRA GOLF

Mediterra is home to the world’s first 36-hole golf facility to be certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. Both the North and South courses were designed by Tom Fazio, known as the ‘master of environmentally-sensitive golf course designs.’ Rolling bunkers and land forms were incorporated into the design of the courses to complement the Mediterranean countryside ambiance of the community. Memberships are limited to 275 per 18 holes.

“I will always enjoy the friends and members at Mediterra. It’s the best operated club I’ve seen in a long time.” Tom Fazio

NORTH COURSE
The North Course provides a rustic, more natural Florida look with water and sand hazards. Featuring less formal bunkers and vast sand expanses that flow from green to tee on many holes, the North Course contrasts with yet complements the South Course. Tee shots are fair but demanding, placing more emphasis on accuracy. Narrow fairways are more challenging, while approach shots to the greens are more forgiving.

SOUTH COURSE
The South Course affords elevated greens, huge chipping areas and large, expansive hazards. Designed with rolling bunkers and landforms, the approach shots are more challenging than the North Course and abundant view corridors from homesites overlook wetlands, nature preserves and reflecting lakes.

GOLF PRACTICE FACILITY
Spend some time at the driving range and short game practice facilities and play golf better than you ever thought possible.

GOLF PRO SHOP
Stop by The Club’s full-service pro shop on your way to the first tee and you’ll always be ready for a great round.

GOLF PROGRAMS
Mediterra appeals to beginners and advanced golfers alike and is home to a robust and thriving ladies group.

GOLF LEARNING CENTER
One of the most anticipated amenities in Mediterra is the Golf Learning Center and Short-Game Practice Area located at the south end of The Club’s double-sided driving range. Members appreciate the enclosed hitting station, with video equipment and a launch monitor for analysis from two different angles. Outside, two open hitting stations provide practice area for long shots and private instruction. The short-game practice area features three greens on approximately 2.5 acres and allows members to replicate shots found throughout the North and South Courses.
